Specific Spinal Corrective Exercises and Scoliosis Treatment Program

We offer a structural rehabilitation program designed to correct curvature abnormalities such as scoliosis and straightening of the cervical curve without bracing or surgery.  The program utilizes the Pettibon Technique, backed by science and research.  We teach our patients corrective and strengthening exercises which can be performed in the comfort of your own home.   Spinal stability and core strengthening exercises are also frequently utilized.  "Watch and wait" is no longer the preferred treatment for scoliosis.

Muscle Therapy / Soft Tissue Therapy

Spinal fixations, subluxations and curvature abnormalities are almost never seen without a muscle and soft tissue component, and vice versa.  These structures are all connected and work together.  This is why it is important not to neglect the soft tissue component.  Doing so will likely cause a slower or incomplete recovery.  Treating the soft tissue is especially beneficial for athletes who are constantly working their muscles very hard.  We regularly utilize our training in Myofascial Release Technique (MRT) as well as the following techniques to give our patients more complete and comprehensive treatment along with our chiropractic adjustments.

Pregnancy Care

Prenatal and postnatal chiropractic care can be very beneficial for moms before, during and after pregnancy.  A combination of chiropractic adjustments and spinal stabilization exercises is the perfect natural and drug free method to relieve pregnancy related low back pain.  We have a table accommodating pregnant bellies too.  An aligned spine and pelvis can promote a smoother labor and delivery.  Adjustments and posture training can also be helpful for nursing moms with neck and upper back pain.  Additionally, reducing inflammation and spinal fixations has helped some women with infertility challenges.

Chiropractic care is very valuable for the health of infants and children.  First of all, birth can be a traumatic experience for a newborn, even if it is a smooth birth.  It is common for the first vertebra in the neck to become fixated as well as the pelvis after the birthing process.  The doctors have checked and adjusted (when needed a number of newborns and infants including their own.  Adjustments can help keep your child's spine aligned as they experience bumps and bruises of life such as learning to crawl, walk, and ride a bike.  It is important to keep their spine healthy and screen for abnormalities such as scoliosis at a young age.  It can make a huge difference in your child's health and quality of life as they get older.  Most children respond quickly and do not need frequent treatments.  Read Jack's story
